| | | Grady Oaks is a performer you may or (most likely) may not have heard of. He has been the bass singer for many country-gospel quartets, most notably with the John Barleycorns in the 60’s and early 70’s. Grady claims that he holds the world record for the lowest bass note ever recorded, which is disputed, some say unfairly, by the Guiness Book of World Records. His brief comeback hinged on the ultra-patriotic “Desert Storm A-Brewin,” in 1991, which was re-released in 2003 at the advent of the second Iraq war. If you agree with Grady and his politics, then your heart may well burst with pride at hearing this live recording. If you don’t agree, you’ll be rolling on the floor with laughter. Grady Oaks: a true patriot.
