BROADCAST TO HONOR BARRY HANNAH
Thacker
Mountain Radio will be broadcasting from the Paris-Yates Chapel on
the Ole Miss campus in Oxford at 6PM tomorrow evening, as a special tribute
show to celebrate the life of Mississippi's beloved author Barry Hannah, who
passed away Monday. Scheduled to perform are Blue Mountain, Barry "Po"
Hannah, and the Thacker Mountain house band, the Yalobushwhackers.
Big Smith is honored to be a part of this tribute by having our guitarist, Mark
Bilyeu, sit in with the Yalobushwhackers; so, we hope
you'll either come out, or tune in to Rebel Radio, 92.1FM (in Oxford) for this
special evening of music. Rest in peace, Barry--we'll miss you.
OXFORD THURSDAY
Sushi and Ozarks hillbilly music?
Well, all right. You can have it both ways, tomorrow evening at the Two Stick in Oxford,
Mississippi, where they boast being the oldest sushi bar and most eclectic
music venue in town. It's been a long time since we've been here, and
we're hoping you'll welcome us back with open chopsticks. $5 cover.
MEMPHIS FRIDAY
You spoke, we listened! Big Smith is coming
back to Memphis, at long last, after many emails from fans wondering if were ever going to do so. We're THRILLED, and we love
Newby's, and we're
just pleased as pickled punchballs to be coming
back. We're planning on shaking the floors that night, so come out and
make this one big raucous hillbilly party with us! Get your overalls on,

LITTLE ROCK SATURDAY
And finally, on Saturday, we'll be back at the Rev Room in downtown Little Rock,
where you can luxuriate on posh red couches, sit on the giant swing, or join
the throng on the expansive dance floor while you listen to yours truly.
Come out and make this Little Rock show special--it's our CD release party, and
we'll be ready to rock. Opening act is Mockingbird (how fitting!) and
